In India, there are 23 IITs and 31 NITs spread across the country. There are some other colleges also who use their admission test as the criterion of getting admission.
There is a scheme for lateral entry also. Those who have done a diploma in engineering after 10th or 12th can get admission to engineering colleges in India.
