One of the best programs in international business is the PGDM (postgraduate diploma in management). The program is a two-year full-time program. The candidates can enroll for this program after they have completed graduation and passed the required entrance tests.
The program is unique and develops professionals with a global mindset. The program trains the candidates in analytical and practical skills so that they can manage effectively in multinational firms.
ITM Institute offers the postgraduate program in International Business Management at its Navi Mumbai campus. The two-year program includes a 10 week Global Study Term which is the highlights of the program. The candidates learn about both domestic and international management. The program also includes a specialized study of sales, marketing, logistics, operations and finance.
The program includes lectures, assignments, workshops, field trips and simulations. The candidates have to participate in two week NGO project and a have to do a two-month internship.
The two week NGO project teaches the candidates about social responsibility. The candidates work to support social causes and learn how charitable organizations work.
The two-month internship helps the candidates to get hands-on work experience in top companies. The candidates handle business operations with the help of the faculty. They get to work and learn directly from the industry. Sometimes it leads to pre-placement offers.
Eligibility for the international business management program
The candidate needs a bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) from an AIU recognized university with a minimum of 50% in the qualifying exam. The candidate has to appear for any of the following entrance tests CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, GMAT and state CET tests as per the AICTE guidelines.
Global Study Term
The highlight of the program is a 10-week study tour to Europe. The tour teaches the students to be open towards other cultures. This tour begins in the month of May. There are sessions in class and industrial visits to enhance the understanding of international business.
One of the main attractions is the visit to the European Union Parliament in Belgium where the candidates attend a seminar with trade representatives. The seminar is interactive and offers information on the ties between India and the EU. Other major attractions are River Port in Budapest and Le Havre Port in France. These visits explained the use of transport operation in the current era.
The tour also includes visiting the historical monuments in Budapest, historic churches in Normandie, cliffs of Etretat and historic beaches.
The tie-up is with the ESSCA, Hungary and EM Normandie, France.
