Quality circle forum of India (QCFI)-Mumbai chapter organized its 33 rd chapter convention on Quality concepts on 21 st and 22 nd September 2019 in Thakur college of engineering, Kandivali east. This year the convention theme was “Quality concepts for cultural breakthrough”. QCFI provides a platform for presenting the best work done by various quality circles, individuals and institutions.

For students, they provide a platform to present their improvement project done during their internship in any company and this would be classified under Other Concepts-Case study. Five second year students of Operations and Supply chain management of ITM (2018-20 batch) came forward to present their work under the guidance of Professor Shweta Kishore and Gayatri Kaple and under leadership of the HOD Professor BVR Murty.

The students made a case study report which was sent to the QCFI for approval and all the five cases were accepted. Later the students presented their case studies to Shri Rajendra Potdar, Jury members of QCFI. Mr. Potdar gave valuable inputs on presentations and students incorporated all the changes in their presentations which were recommended by him. The students reached the said venue and were accompanied by Professor Gayatri Kaple and Professor BVR Murty on 21 st September. They got an excellent opportunity to present their work in front of a huge audience, corporates and delegates from Thailand in the Auditorium of Thakur college of Engineering.
