Over the years, we received a lot of questions from students asking whether MBA is better or PGDM. But, before clearing the doubts, students must understand the difference between MBA courses and PGDM course. Though, if looked, both the degrees are in Business Management but, there is a thin line that separates the inherent nature of the two.

All the management courses and institutes are in huge demand, and thus, all the aspiring managers make sure and understand the difference between both the courses and then select one course. Since these courses are a part of higher studies and so, it requires a lot of planning and a worthy time. So, make sure you don’t indulge in any kind of experiments. Though, these two are the major factors that are skipped by the students.

MBA vs. PGDM
Many Universities and Colleges offer with MBA courses. However, PGDM is offered by an AICTE approved institutions. For those who don’t know, AICTE stands for All India Council for Technical Education. An accreditation by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) states that PGDM is equal to MBA. However, this isn’t true. One-year PGDM course is not equivalent to MBA.

Which one is better?
MBA and PGDM courses are two such management courses that are pursued by a large number of students. Though, further, it depends on the individuals which course is better and how does that particular course will benefit them in the future. The main difference between MBA and PGDM is that the Universities design the curriculum of MBA whereas the relevant institutes design the curriculum for PGDM. Also, many private institutes don’t accept any kind of recognition from universities, and hence, this is how they keep their course up to date. Whereas, when it comes to MBA, high authority is the one who sets the regulation. Further, the University Council is the one who does the changes in the syllabus.
