Capitalizing on
its location near the IT and healthcare hub of
India, Waranal Institute of Management taps into
the immense intellectual capital that is produced
in the city of Hyderabad. The Institute plays
host to a large number of events, workshops and
conventions every year, often in collaboration
with ITM Hyderabad Campus.
A small selection
of the Industry Interaction events that
have been conducted in 2003-04:
• Trends in
IT sector: The top executives from industry
such as Satyam Computers, Idea Space,
ROC-India, Business World, STPI were the
speakers.
• Communication
Skills and Personality Development: As
many as 40 insurance agents attended
• Stress Management
& NLP approaches- In house program
for Managers in LIC Warangal- As many
as 40 Managers attended the program.
• Corporate
Challenges for Young Managers: As many
as twenty mangers from industry participated.
The key speakers were from Infotech Enterprise,
Satyam, Wilco International, TATA AIG,
Tanning Technologies, Philips India &
ASCI.
• Effective
Teaching in Management Education: The
program was conducted in two locations
viz: in Andhra University and in Warangal
at ITM campus. As many as twenty five
faculty persons in AU and 15 faculty persons
in Warangal attended the programs.
• Brand Score
:Brand Score is an annual marketing event
conducted and managed by the students
themselves. It acts as a forum of synergy
between academic and industry interaction.This
research event aims to create a platform
where the corporates and the students
stand on the same level for better interaction.
