Professional Development Programs
ITM Bengaluru believes in overall development of its students, encouraging both academic and co-curricular activities. Under the Co-curricular activities, a conscious and continuous effort is made towards Personality Development so that all the students attain maximum capability levels in organizing abilities, communication skills and readiness to accept challenges, working under stress as valuable members in a team. All these qualities are accomplished through the means of Industry interaction, seminars, workshops, guest lectures and activities led by students.
Marketing Club: Marketing Club formed by the students of marketing specialization organizes marketing and branding related activities within the campus. These events are done within the campus and are open to all the students interested in enhancing their knowledge related to different aspects of marketing. The activities of the club in the recent past include Business Quiz, Ad-mad contests, Pick and Speak, Product Launch etc.
Finance Club: Finance club serves the purpose of enhancing students’ knowledge about the financial world. Finance club is instrumental in bringing Indian Money to the ITM B School, inaugurating the concept of Money School at ITM Bengaluru. The Money School will provide the members of ITM family with an opportunity not only to improve their financial literacy but also enable students who are looking for a sterling career in corporate finance.
Media Club: Media club enhances the visibility of ITM in print and electronic media. The Media club prepares the press releases after every major event increasing the visibility of the B School.
Cultural Club: It will not be an exaggeration to term ITM Bengaluru as mini India, as students of all caste, religions from different nook and corners of the country spread their fragrance in this melting pot. Some of the activities and celebrations undertaken by this club include:
- Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August and the chief guest Shri. H. S.Sethuram hoisted the flag followed by his address.
- Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with full zeal and sanctity.
- Onam was celebrated in the ITM campus on with a cultural programme highlighting the rich tradition of Kerala. The function ended with Onam Snadhya.
- Pooja celebrations were held at ITM Bengaluru campus such as Ramanavami, Saraswathi Pooja, Ganesh Chaturthi etc.
Major Events at ITM Bengaluru
- Brand Panorama 2010 : ITM Conducted a Seminar on BRAND PANORAMA, a grand success with 23 Business Schools participating and 6 eminent speakers involved in conducting various sessions. A total of 300 students have participated from leading Business Schools of Bangalore. It was held at MLR Convention Hall, Brigade Millennium, J P Nagar, Bangalore on 27th Nov 2010.
Chennai Campus
Marketing, HR, Finance and Economics are the four clubs where students from matching specializations automatically become members of the respective clubs mentioned above. The Marketing club had successfully organized an event called ONE DAY ENTREPRENEUR which was held within the campus for a whole day wherein the campus was transformed into a market place for the entire day and students got a feel of entrepreneurial market environment.
All second year students are made a member of MADRAS MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION that helps them to keep in touch with current trends after they graduate from the institute.

HR Convention
- - Horizon'11, the 6th Annual HR convention created a wave of knowledge and information sharing by renowned dignitaries from reputed organizations. The program was honored by our Chief Guest Mr. Sundaram, Executive Director, TVS Forge with his inspiring and enlightening presentation on the theme ‘Employability of present day B-School – A corporate perspective’.
Alumni Meet
- The Annual Meet”Sambandh'09” held on 5th December 2009 at Hotel Breeze. About 50 Alumni participated in the Annual reunion. The meet provided excellent interaction between the past students and strengthened the bonds of friendship in the ITM, family.
Industry Visit
- I year PGDM students – I batch, (30 students) visited M/s. Ford Ltd., on 24th November 2009.
Navi Mumbai Campus
Utkarsh Committee :
Utkarsh, Unleashing the Knowledge and Reaching to Starry Heights, is a unique endeavor at ITM to bring about all round development of students personality. The primary objective of Utkarsh Committee is to help students think, plan and manage various curricular, extracurricular activities of ITM.
There are various Committees constituted under the aegis of Utkarsh. These committees are Academic Committee, External competition and Event Committee, Public Relations and Brand Management Committee, Placement Committee, Cultural Committee, Industry Visit Committee, Guest Lecture, Teaching Management through Movies, IT, Publication, Sports, Code of Conduct, Infrastructure Maintenance and Improvement, Health hygiene and Environment Committee.
These committees are essentially students driven and students managed committees. The student members of a committee are required to come out with some innovative ideas and implement those in some projects.
Study Forum :
- Study forums have been formed with a view to engage the students and the faculty members in a particular functional area to plan and organize various curricular and co-curricular activities by interfacing with industry practitioners. This platform is envisaged to offer opportunities to the students to show case their talent and organizing skills to complement and supplement the class based learning.
Finance Forum :
- Finance Forum is the initiative taken by the Finance Faculty in ITM so that the students can increase their strategic knowledge in the area of Finance and can remain updated with the current market scenario. This forum invites Professionals from Corporate Houses, Alumni and Guest Faculties so that students can have better exposure to the external world. Activities under this forum nurture the students and help them in getting Summer Internships and Final placements.
HR Forum :
- The HR Forum is formed with the basic idea of creating a platform for young and dynamic potential HR managers of ITM Business School to showcase their talent through various activities like guest lectures, role plays, debate competition, business quiz etc. It also helps the students to interact with corporate professionals for understanding the tough and competitive corridors of the corporate world, which enriches the theoretical knowledge and widens the practical aspect of it.
Marketing Forum :
- “Ma-Cr-Inno” (Marketing, Creativity & Innovation) is an initiative by ITM Business School for students to indulge in interesting marketing games and events. This forum is lead by student representatives and its functioning is facilitated by the faculty co-coordinator. Through this forum, various activities like “Punch-Out”, “Junk Marketing” etc are organized by the students. This forum is a platform for students to interface with the industry and also provide them an opportunity to ideate and work on their creative mind. This helps the students to learn about various concepts and look for application of the same in specific situations. The activities of the forum encourage students to read various resource materials beyond text books and thereby broaden their information spectrum in the area of marketing.
Retail Forum:
- The Retail forum, initiated, planned and organized by PGDM-RMM students is aimed at simulating the business of retail on campus. It is a congregation of various activities like guest lecturers from renowned people from the retail industry, workshops, business quiz etc. The forum gives the students an opportunity to learn, share and evolve with the PGDM in the business and explore vibrant ideas. Students get an opportunity to participate in various conferences such as Manning Modern Retail (MMR) and Retail Leadership Summit(RLS) in association with Retail Association of India ( RAI ). It helps students in broadening their vision beyond textbooks.
Operations Forum :
- The operations forum has established in ITM Kharghar campus in collaboration with leading corporates of manufacturing and service sectors. This unique forum has designed by sharing the value added support from both premium academicians as well as leading industry practitioners. The biggest challenge for this Operations forum is to establish the creative and dynamic business leaders from ITM who would be the role model in operations world of the 21st century. Additionally, this innovative forum also engages the value added support from eminent personalities of industry and academic in various advanced workshop and short term certification program.
NEN (National Entrepreneurship Network) :
- ITM Navi Mumbai's Entrepreneurship cell (E-vision) is a part of NEN, The National Entrepreneurship Network. The National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN), founded in 2002, is a not-for-profit initiative of the Wadhwani Foundation working to inspire, educate and support the next generation of high-growth entrepreneurs in India. NEN was co-founded by five of India's premier academic institutions: IIT Bombay; IIM Ahmedabad; SP Jain Institute, Bombay; IBAB, Bengaluru and BITS Pilani. NEN has been supportive in offering entrepreneurship training programs for faculty and students all over India and inculcating the spirit of entrepreneurship among students.
Warangal Campus
A cohesive mix of academics and experiential learning:
From yoga to volleyball, debates to dramatics- each and every aspect is taken care for the overall development of the student. While students of other business schools come from disparate places to attend classes and disperse at the end of the day, Warangal Institute of Management students, faculty and staff live right on the campus, allowing for learning and interaction to take place on a constant basis. Often, faculties organize informal follow-up and advanced subject discussions that begin after dinner. This "always-on" environment develops in the students the ability to handle the pressures of the business world when they graduate into managerial positions.
From a big library to technically advanced computer labs with high-speed internet, quiet rooms to study peacefully and small conference rooms for group assignments- every need of the student is taken care of so that after two years they are most fit to be called ITM graduates.
EVENTS
- Foundation Day Lecture delivered by Mrs.Tanuja Abburi – Director Human Resources at Intelligi Group, Hyderabad on 4 September 2011 on the topic ‘Managing Generation X & Y in Today's Time.’
- The 15 Annual Convocation was held on 17 July 2011 at Campus. Sri. M.Gopalakrishna former Chairman of Rural Electrification Corporation and Vice President at South NHRD Network was the Chief Guest. Guest of Honor was Sri C.Balraj Goud- Director HR at Creamline Dairy Products Ltd. The proficiency prize was distributed to students by Sri J.Shankaraiah, Commissioner at Warangal Municipal Corporation.
Journal and Magazine:
Warangal Institute of Management takes out Bi-annual journal titled as WIM journal which comprises the research articles, papers and case studies contributed by academicians and scholars of various colleges and institutions, practicing managers also contribute their experiences in the journal.
Wall Magazine: WIM also comes out with WIM Wall Magazine. The magazine is collection and contribution of students only. Students write up the slogans, definitions, small writings and bring it in colorful way. This launched every year on the occasion of ITM-Warangal foundation day.
