ESSCA
As a member of the prestigious Conférence des
Grandes Ecoles, ESSCA (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences
Commerciales d'Angers)is an unmistakably French but
at the same time resolutely European and International
School of Management. It offers a state accredited Master
in Management Degree (Diplôme Grande Ecole) which
attracts students from all over France.
In 2006 the ESSCA Master programme was the first
French graduate programme in management to obtain
the EPAS label of excellence awarded by the European

Over the last decade the school has created on its
different campuses a range of international programmes
for students from all over the world, such as the
Angers European Business Semester, the Budapest International
Management Semester, various summer programmes and
the Master of Science in European Business. Based
on the know-how developed in its successful internationalisation
process, ESSCA launched in September 2007, as part
of its Grande Ecole Master degree, an English Track
offering an International Business specialisation.

OVERVIEW:

A general semester with distinct East and Central European

A specialisation semester in Services Marketing with
focus in IT industry conducted in Mumbai, India.
An applied research (Capstone project) which focus on
closely monitored master thesis as a proof of academic
excellence and which may include a professional internship
in India or country of your choice.

Semester A (Angers, France)
European Business Environment
A compact pluridisciplinary introduction to graduate
management studies. the semester provides the knowledge
required to analyse the business environment, as well
as the tools to understand the rapidly evolving european
single market and its cultural background
.The semester is composed of :
-Contemporary Europe
-European Economics (Incl. a study trip to Brussels)
-Introduction to Management
- Intercultural Management
-Strategic Management Essentials
-Marketing Essentials
-Corporate Finance Essentials

-Personal & professional project workshop
- French language classes

Semester B (Budapest)
Central & Eastern European Business
The semester offers a large choice of courses, including
classes with a special focus on business in the fast-developing
central european region, as well as two pre-specialisation
courses.
The semester is composed of :
- European Business, Economy, Politics and Law
- International Human Resource Management
- Doing Business in Central & Eastern Europe and
the World
-Strategic Management Simulation Game
-The various types of Marketing
-Basics in Computer, IT and Networking

Semester C (India)
Services Operations and Information Management Specialisation
A specialisation curriculum designed to enable students
to develop the profession knowledge, strategic competence
and skill required managing any services organisation
with special focus in IT industry. Taught in India,
this semester is composed of:
- E-Commerce & m-Commerce
- Services Operations (Strategy, Design, Development
& Quality)
-Project Management
- Managing Service Supply Chain & Role of ERP &
BPR
- Basics of BPO, CRM & IPR
Semester D (India / Country of your choice)
Capstone Project
Students will show their academic excellence through
a closely monitored Capstone Project (applied research
master thesis):
- Should focus on concrete topic of Service Management
and fit coherently in each student's professional project.
- Must include a significant part of empiric in-company
field work.
- Is written under regular individual coaching and supervision
by faculty member of
ITM, ESSCA or any associate Business School.
- May be completed within the framework of a professional
internship.
During semester 'D' students can work on
any campuses of ITM, ESSCA or designated associate B
- Schools. The Capstone Project (Master thesis) is awarded
30 ECTS credits.

Eligibility:
The programme has been designed for students from all
over the world who :
have obtained a first degree (bachelor/licence) and,
ideally, a first professional experience in a job or
a longer internship, can provide a GMAT (Graduate Management
Admission Test) score with their application (info under
http://www.gmac.com/gmac/thegmat/), have a real international
spirit, a coherent professional project, and open-mindedness
towards people from different cultural backgrounds.
All common entrance test scores (CAT, XAT, MAT etc.)
accepted by AICTE, India.

Tuition fees
First Year Fees: 6600 €
Second Year Fees: 3300 €
Living expenses for the first year in Europe likely
to be 7000 € & for the second year in India
- 2000 €; if Semester D is done in other country
it may be proportionately higher than the cost shown
for Europe and India.
ESSCA offers a limited number of partial
scholarships for students from Central and Eastern European
countries. The Conseil Général de Maine-et-Loire
authorities also offer scholarships to Hungarian students.
ESSCA will help eligible candidates with their application.

Academic calendar
Semester A in Angers runs from Sept. 03 to Dec. 19, 2008.
It begins with three special welcome days from Sept. 03
to 05.
Classes start on Sept. 08 with a one - week integration
seminar. The Brussels study trip takes place in November,
exams in December.
Semester B in Budapest runs from January 20 to May
29, 2009. Welcome days are organised on January 20 to
22. Exam period for final written exams is the last
week of May 2009. Students have the possibility to complete
an optional internship or company placement between
June and August 2009.
Semester C in India runs from Sept. 03 to Dec. 18,
2009.
Semester D starts on Jan. 04, 2010. It is an applied
research semester focusing on a Master thesis.
