ITM Navi Mumbai is one
of the most technologically advanced business
schools in the country. The entire campus
is inter-connected through a 400 port LAN
which brings the network to every desk,
with a second layer of Wireless Networking
enabling connections any where.
Internet Access
Clustered servers, multiple-line high-speed
Internet connectivity and an Intranet deliver
streams of information to every screen.
At present, close to 1Mbps in raw internet
bandwidth is in use at ITM Navi Mumbai:
- 512Kbps point-to-point WiFi Link with
STPI
- 256Kbps combined Cable Modem lines
- Dual 128Kbps ISDN backup lines
The Institute plans to double that capacity
through fibre-optic and sat-com links.
eMail and Messaging
With a high-availability email server hosted
at the VSNL Vashi DataCenter and locally
hosted POP3 boxes, email and messaging is
effortless, especially as most professors
accept online submission of class assignments.
Every student of ITM, past and present
is alloted a life-time eMail account at
itm.edu
Computer Labs
Three computer labs, outfitted with high-speed
Pentium 4 computers, serve the student community.
Of these, one is a technologically advanced
Linux ThinClient lab, offering a most-modern,
secure computing environment.

The Linux
Initative
ITM Navi Mumbai is the
first ITM campus, and perhaps among the
first business schools in India to embrace
the Linux Operating System. In collaboration
with The
Argon Company and HCL InfoSystems, the
Institute has migrated its staff
and faculty users and networks completely
to the Linux Terminal Server Project software,
providing unparalleled stability, data security,
Spam and virus protection.
The ITM Linux Initiative
is being phased into all ITM campuses, with
ITM Chennai being next on the list. |

ITM
Laptop Program
Students of ITM's PGDBM program (all campuses)
and other Masters programs are required
to acquire a laptop computer for use throughout
the program. ITM partners with companies
such as Toshiba and IBM to offer the latest
in laptop technology at manufacturer prices
to its students. WiFi enabled laptops are
a boon to students, enabling them to connect
to the ITM network and the Internet from
anywhere on campus. More information about

Specialized
Infrastructure
Financial Markets Lab
ITM Navi Mumbai has setup a state-of-the-art
Live Securities Dealing Room- the first of
its kind in India, and the 6th in the world,
for training program participants in a real-time,
live market environment simulation.
The Dealing Room provides
hands-on, real-world training in Securities,
Derivates, Commodities and Foreign Exchange
trading. This setup features actual exchange
software from NSE.iT, live data feeds from
Moneyline Telerate and the Industry-standard
in analysis and charting tools from Spider
Software.
This Dealing room is the center-piece of
the Masters in Financial Markets program,
and is also used to train PGDBM Finance
students in advanced electives.
PeopleSoft Lab
The Institute is also establishing the country's
first Institutional PeopleSoft HR Lab, in
collaboration with Dakota State University
and PeopleSoft Corporation. PeopleSoft has
emerged as the predominant ERP and eHRM
solution for large corporations around the
world. The PeopleSoft Lab will provide advanced
training and qualification to the students
at ITM Navi Mumbai and all other ITM Campuses,
in all PeopleSoft Modules.
