BEYOND ACADEMICS

It is our Chairperson’s belief that “Hard skills have become generic…. the key differentiator is the Soft Skills area –EQ instead of IQ, Art of communication and Empathy Yoga and self discovery, value based management practice, Principle centered Leadership development etc.,”

In light of this philosophy, we start each academics year with a 2 day Personal Growth Laboratory Session for students, as a part of their Induction program, wherein students interpersonal skills are brought to the fore –the session helps to break the ice and build team spirit, forging relationships of a lifetime!

The curriculum is designed in a manner so as to allow students to develop inter-personal skills in the form of presentations, debates, elocution competitions etc., Assignments are also sought in the form of poster presentations, Management style reports and so on.

In addition to academics, students are also encouraged to participate in various inter-collegiate competitions and fests’ and in the past, have brought great laurels to the college.

Various Extra curricular activities are organized by and for the students in the form of Intra-College Cricket Matches, the Annual Cultural Week “Rang De” etc.
A much awaited event is the Annual Theme Dinner organized by the senior students. A few of the past themes have included Goan, Punjabi, Arabian and Creole…..  thus increasing the student’s repertoire of Indian and International culture and cuisine. The entire event is planned ,organized and executed by the students themselves and gives them hand on experience along with bringing to the fore their latent talents.

Various study tours and excursions are also organized for the students’ benefit, incorporating academics in leisure, in the form of visits to vineyards, coffee plantations etc.,

There is an active TMTM (Teaching Management Through Movies) Club organized by the students themselves, which actively screens socially relevant movies and then logically analyses the impact of the same, furthering the pursuit of self development.
