Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design

Program Description

Develop self-motivation & unique thinking skills. Through coursesin concept development, studio methods, fashion drawing, and fashion digital studio, you will take part in each stage of the design process. From concept to production to market introduction, you will learn the process, skills, and language of the fashion design. You will confront the challenges of the real world of the fashion industry while cultivating your own personal vision. Learning to solve problems for a range of markets will be part of the curriculum.

In the end of this module, students will be able to drape and construct basic garments from fabrics. They will learn to identify the required sewing material and describe the operation of the various parts of an industrial sewing machine.

Module 8 : PROFESS IONAL PRACTICE

This programme aims to develop conceptual and execution skills in live studio environments individually, or within project groups, managed by creative directors, art directors and other studio leaders, handling live studio projects ranging from corporate identities to full advertising campaigns.

Advanced Diploma in Fashion Marketing

Program Description

This course tailored to blend creative fashion knowledge with a soild grounding of business, marketing, and contextual studies.
Students will learn to understand how product, customer, and market force intergrate.
They will also be introduced to new challenges, technologies, and issues facing the fashion industry. They will learn about buyingand merchandising practices, conceptualisation, and the development of effective brand management strategies to execute advertising and promotional activities.

Course Focus

Students will also acquire the skills to develop, promote, advertise and retail-necessary for succeeding in the industry.
With an understanding of traditional marketing and new technologies, our graduates make their mark as innovative design prenuers.

Module 1 : INTRO TO THE FASHION BUSINESS

In this semester, students will be introduced to Colour Theory. The next segment touches on Design and Marketing in Fashion Industry This module will also offer a history of the styles in furniture, fashion, interiors, the decorative arts, and painting, and examine the fascinating links to be made between the various design movements.

Module 2 : CONSUMER MOTIVATION IN FASHION

This semester will teach students how to develop and implement marketing strategies. Module will also focus on creating a global marketing plan for a domestic fashion company. International business relationships -- economic, cultural, & legal practices are examined. Also a comprehensive survey of fabrics used in apparel, sources, materials trends, trends and forecasts will be covered.

Module 3 : MERCHANDISING PLANNING & CONTROL

This course is an overview of specialised markets within the fashion industry. Students will develop the necessary skills required to promote fashion products to these markets. Combining with Merchandising and Merchandising Math that provides students with a strong understanding of merchandising math

This module aims to identify the concepts of CAD (Computer Aided Design) widely use in Fashion Industry that lays the basis of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Students will also get to explore the very fundamentals and principles of visual communication, Introduction to the key elements of Multimedia such as graphics, animations as well as tools to create multimedia application. Students will be assigned to complete a major research paper on a major fashion market.

This course teaches the art of importing and exporting apparel and textiles. This is followed by a module that examines the retail formulas and principles of retail store´s supply and demand of merchandise requirements.

This course is an overview of fashion shows production and public relations.
The module will also introduce students to both the theory and practice of advertising This course will examine manufacturing from social, political and economic point of view.

Module 8 : PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

The module is designed for students to gain further understanding of financial statements through thorough examination of each section. Students will understand the importance of visual merchandising. Students will be attached to a month internship to local based merchandising company with completion of daily journals, oral presentations and written reports. This is followed by the choice of a research topic in support of the theme of their final year collection and the preparation of portfolio.

Foundation in Fashion and Design

This 6 month foundation program has been developed to give students an insight into the field of fashion by imparting technical skills required to venture in this industry or those who wish to persue higher education in Fashion. The curriculum covers the basics of Fashion and Design, History of Costumes, Colours & Mixing, Sketching & Illustration in both 2D and 3D environment and Evolution of Fashion. The program culminates in a Portfolio Development Project and also guides about different courses in Fashion and Design and various institutes and universities offering them.

Eligibility:

B.A. (HONS) in Fashion Business

Program Description

Our BA (Hons) Fashion Business is a unique, independent 3 year course designed to help students with some fashion industry experience and qualifications to develop their skills and take their careers further.Created to meet an increasing demand for qualified professionals with globally focused fashion business management skills.The course is an exciting opportunity to develop a fuller understanding of the breadth and connection of the global fashion business. It enables you to experience the diverse range of career opportunities within the industry through projects related to international fashion, retail branding and visual communication.

Moving on to development of in-depth knowledge of the International Fashion Business, you will research the industry in India and globally and analyze the current business models prevalent in various segments. Year 3 :

M. Sc in Interior Design

The 2 year program focuses on the development of design and technical skills related to interior decoration. The curriculum covers the basics of Interior Design, Architectural drawing, History of Architecture, Environment studies, CAD, Costing, and Building services.The students are also required to develop a project at the end of the 2yrs. The program is suited for students seeking technical careers in the interior designing industry.

B.Sc. in Interior Design

A 3 year program, the B.Sc. Interior Design is the most sought after qualification for students interested in pursuing a full-fledged corporate or independent career in interior designing. The program curriculum covers a broad range of subjects including the basics of interior design, Language, Principles, Drawing, Computers, Space planning, Environmental studies, Building services, Furniture, Applied crafts, CAD, and Treatments. The final year culminates in the development of individual Portfolios.
