The Navi Mumbai Campus:
The Navi Mumbai Campus of ITM Global Leadership Center conducts three programs – all the programs are two year, full-time and AICTE approved.
The Chennai Campus of ITM Global Leadership Center currently offers the PGDM –International Business program. It is a two year, full-time, AICTE approved program.
PGDM - International Business (Navi Mumbai Campus)
2-year full-time AICTE approved program
The students are presented with a thoroughly researched, well-sequenced curriculum. A total of 6 terms plus European Study Term (described below) completes the program. Starting in the 1st term with management fundamentals and basic research and study skills, students take on up to 10 subjects per term, studying a wide scope of management subjects with international focus.
We offer a unique European Business Experience:
The focal point of the program is the 3-month intensive program that starts with an induction model and foundation course along with a two day seminar on personal growth followed by a 10 to 12 weeks European Study Term. The program takes students to France and Hungary to be trained by international faculties and directly exposed to the realities of business operations in the EU and Eastern Europe.
In Budapest, Hungary, where the group attends a customized “Doing business in Europe” program conducted by Group ESSCA, a Grande Ecole institution. The Budapest Summer Program focuses on the nuances of business practices in Central and Eastern Europe through company visits, interactions with executives from top corporate organizations and intensive classroom interaction with international faculties.
Next on to EM Normandie, France the group attends a “Doing Business in Western Europe” program. The objectives of the program:
- To acquire competencies and experience in European business environment
- To understand cultural contrast between North and South Europe in a business context
- Conduct a real project with multi cultural team and to present a complete business plan to a panel of experts and academics at the end of 4 weeks.

Consumers are more demanding than ever in the emerging competitive environment of today. The customer of the present age is more information centric, brand and quality conscious and very keen to exercise his/her bargaining power.
Currently in India, the national economy and marketplace are undergoing rapid changes and transformation. A McKinsey report ‘The rise of Indian Consumer Market’, estimates that the Indian consumer market is likely to grow four times by 2025. India continues to be among the most attractive countries for global retailers. At US$ 511 billion in 2008, its retail market is larger than ever and drawing both global and local retailers. Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows as on January 2009, in single-brand retail trading, stood at approx. US$ 25.18 million, according to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). Additionally banks, capital goods, engineering, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), software services, oil marketing, power, two-wheelers and telecom companies are leading the sales and profit growth of India Inc. in the fourth quarter of 2008-09. In this rapidly evolving Marketing Scenario, market success goes to those companies that are best matched to the current environmental imperatives. Those companies that have requisite talent can deliver what the people want. The complexity and competitiveness of businesses now require professional managers capable of running enterprise-class businesses. These managers need to be able to lead large teams, use modern information systems and take advantage of new opportunities across the Industry spectrum right from innovative HR strategies to developments in Information Technology.
The Retail Plus focus
Designed in collaboration with industry professionals and tailored to the modern marketing scenario in India, the Post Graduate Diploma Program in Retail Management and Marketing has evolved with changing times. It is aimed at developing, multi-skilled managerial talent by focusing on developing knowledge and application in the areas of retail, services management & marketing. Our teaching team comprises senior retail professionals, guest speakers from the industry and research and academic experts. Students learn to analyze the methods used to maintain customer loyalty, examine ways in which product presentation influences buyers and investigate the critical factors in inventory control, including the role of technology.
The students are exposed to the use of modern methods of analysis and are trained in sophisticated computational skills. In addition to the core retail papers, the course also has papers that form part of a regular MBA Marketing Program allowing and equipping the students to choose other areas in marketing in their careers. The Course curriculum is updated on a regular basis based on industry inputs and academic advances. The students’ evaluation is based on a number of criterion including Class Room Participation, Presentations, Term Papers, other assignments and regular examinations. Students undertake a three-month Industry Internship that brings the concepts taught in class to the work place and allows them to be trained in true business practice. During the third term of the program students again under take a Capstone Project.

PGDM - International Business (Chennai Campus)
2-year, full-time AICTE approved program
The PGDM –International Business program was initially being offered only at the ITM Navi Mumbai Campus. However, with increasing demand for insight into the Asia-Pacific regions, ITM has entered into a collaboration with EASB, Singapore and launched the PGDM – IB program (with a Singapore term) in its sprawling campus at Chennai.
The Program Curriculum:
The PGDM – International Business program at Chennai starts with a week-long, intense Induction Module to give participants an overview of the core subjects and to help bring all of them to a common platform. The soft skills development program and the outdoor camp play an instrumental role in increasing interaction and bonding amongst batch mates.
The first three terms are conducted at the Chennai campus. In the third term, a one-week trip to Mumbai is included. This encompasses visit to financial institutions, stock market simulations, company visits, guest lectures and seminars.
This is followed by the summer term, which is the focal point of this program. The entire batch proceeds to Singapore to be taught by international faculty. This term at EASB, Singapore exposes the students to the business realities in the Asia-Pacific region.
