The Sixteenth Convocation of ITM-Bangalore
22 Aug 2010: The Sixteenth Convocation of ITM-Bangalore was held at Hotel Radha Regent, Electronic City, Bangalore for the Batch 2008-10. Dr.R.S.Deshpande, Director-Institute for Social & Economic Change, Bangalore was the Chief Guest and Dr.V.G.Dhanakumar, Director- Indian Institute of Plantation Management, Bangalore was the Guest of Honour. The Batch of 2008-10 comprised of 30 Marketing and 26 Finance students. The trophy for the “Best Student in Marketing” for the Batch 2008-10 was awarded to Mr.Rupesh Kumar and the trophy of the “Best Student in Finance” was awarded to Mr.Tarsem Chand Goel. Mr Rupesh Kumar was also awarded as the Best outgoing student from the batch of 2008-10. A cash prize instituted in the memory of late Mr.Alok Mehera was given to Mr Tarsem Chand Goel, the Best student in Finance this year. A new trophy in memory of late Mr.Jatan Anand was instituted by the Dean Wg.Cdr.A.H.Babu and was given to Mr.Om Sharan Pandey. Director Dr.B.S.Patil read the annual report 2009-10. Prof.Brijesh singh administered the oath to the batch 2008-10. The vote of thanks was given by Prof.(Smt.) Latha Ramesh. The function ended with a group photograph of the passing out batch followed by a grand lunch.

14th August,2010: All PGP I Programme students visited Infosys Campus at Electronic City, Bangalore under Industrial Visit Programme.The Executives of Infosys explained the students about the Business Model of Infosys. The impact of IT and Tele Communication on Indian economy was discussed.Our students interacted with them very well.The visit was organised under the influence of SPARK Programme of Infosys. 20th August,2010: Prof.Ravindra Pandian attended the 9th International HR Summit organised by AIMA at NewDelhi.The event was utilised to meet the HR Managers of various organisations and to interact with the members of other ITM Centres for the success of 2011 placement activities.

Dr. Ramesh G.Tagat, Retd. Prof of IIM, Bangalore and Academic Mentor of International School of Management Excellence, Bangalore delivered a Guest Lecture on "Expectations of Recruiters". He emphasised that Recruiters are the customers of MBA programmes.Knowledge and Skills are their basic needs. An enthuasistic interaction of our students on Time Management, Perception and Personally Development was highly appreciated by him.

Mr. K.S.Ramanan,Head- Training and Development, Ernst & Young Global Shared Services, Bangalore spoke on the topic " Managing Myself". He explained the students about the ways to manage fear, change and conflict. A video on the topic " The Power of One" was exhibited.

He emphasised the students the importance of skills to be acquired for building the market value. 3rd July ,2010
Mr. N.Padmanabhan, Regional Manager( southern Region) Reckitt Benckiser India Ltd, Bangalore inagurated 19th batch of PGDM programme. Followed by the lighting of the lamp, he delivered the inagural address. He explained the mission of Benckiser, their products and the skills needed for a successful career in marketing.

30th April 2010: Scholarships to students of Batch 2009-11
The scholarship to students of the Batch 2009-11 was announced by the Dean & Group Vice President Wg.Cdr.A.H.Babu in a colourful function held in the campus. Ms.Manisha Chourasia received 50% of the fees as merit scholarship and Mr.Jatan Anand & Mr.Vikram Singh received 25% of the fees as merit cum means scholarship. The prizes were distributed by the Director Dr.K.S.Srinivasa Rao. The function ended with a tea party.
