Founded in 1991, ITM Business School is one of the first private, not-for-profit, non-aided business schools in India. Our flagship program, the Post Graduate Diploma in Administration, is an AICTE approved course, equivalent to an MBA degree.

In founding ITM, Prof. P.V. Ramana envisioned that ITM would not be a single location Business School, rather a network of several Business School campuses that provided the ITM Quality of Management Education in major cities across India. ITM is at heart, an Entrepreneurial operation- established as a result of the commitment to the Ideal that a private, non-aided business school could survive and thrive in the mostly regulated environment of education in India. In that venture, ITM has achieved the status of a Pioneer among private business schools in India.

Over the last 13 years, the PGDM program has evolved into a unique blend of core management subjects, cutting edge knowledge areas and modern academic practices.

The PGDM program dveeloped into a rite-of-passage which has led to ever improving careers and lives for over 3000 young managers from all corners of India and the world. The program and the ITM campuses that offer it, have matured greatly since the inception of the Institute in 1991.

Any serious effort in Management Education is characterized by a unique duality- constant, unrelenting change supported by unwavering fundamentals. At ITM, this duality is evidenced on the one side- by the sheer pace of operational growth and infrastructural expansion, the constant reinvention of academic offerings, and on the other side- by the commitment, honor and endurance of that group of individuals who make up the ITM Family.

Every year, 300 students successfully enroll in the ITM PGDM program, to embark on a two year experience of learning and development, called the ITM Experience.
