The ITM Group of Institutes, founded and chaired by Prof. P.V. Ramana established ITM Bangalore in 1992. From its very inception, ITM Bangalore has been helmed by Wg. Cdr. A.H Babu (Retd.), Director- ITM Bangalore and Dean of the Southern group of ITM schools.

Wg. Cdr Babu (Retd.) joined the Air Force after completing his MA, MSW and XLRI degrees in the Training Wing and was posted as Director, Air Training Command at the time of his taking Voluntary Discharge. He joined ITM, Bangalore as Director in 1992, and has served with distinction as Dean of three Southern campuses in Bangalore, Chennai and Warangal, since 2002.

From June 2004 he has been appointed Trustee of the ITM Trust.
