Governance

The ITM Trust Board consists of:

Dr. P.V. Ramana- Founder & Life Chairperson
B.E.(Hons) Elec. Prof. Engg (Mech) ( USA ), MBA ( USA )

Dr. P.V. Ramana served in senior executive positions as MD in TTK Group and as a Chief Executive in GRASIM Group. He secured the Academic Collaboration of New Hampshire College to offer the MBA and MS programs in India in 1991 leading to the establishment of the first ITM program in Mumbai in June 1991. The ITM Trust (a public charitable trust) was founded in September 1993. He is also a highly reputed Management Consultant. He has served as President of Bombay Management Association (1998-99).

B.A. (Econ.), MBA ( USA )

Mrs. Lalitha Ramana had a long and successful career as a Students Counselor advising thousands of aspiring Indian Students about higher studies in USA , UK , Australia , etc. with her in-depth knowledge of many Colleges & Universities in these countries. She has served as the Authorized Representative of New Hampshire College in India since 1985 and continues to do so even now.

Wg. Cdr. A.H.Babu (Retd.) - Co-opted Trustee & Dean of ITM campuses in South India M.A., MSW

Wg. Cdr Babu joined Air Force as Commissioned Officer after completing his M.A. and P.G.D.M. (Hons.) from XLRI and served for 26 years before taking voluntary retirement. He was twice commended for his exceptional professionalism, devotion to duty and dedication. He held various staff appointments at Command level and Head Quarters’ level. Throughout his services, he was associated with induction and training of Ground Duty Officers and Airmen. He joined ITM in 1992 and served with distinction since then. Being responsible for making the ITM as a leading business school rated by different agencies as one among the top 100 business schools in the country. In reorganization of his services, ITM Trust was pleased to appoint him as The Trustee from June, 2004 and also elevated him to the status of Dean of all three South Centres of the ITM.

ITM Trust is fortunate to avail of the service of the Academic and Industry professionals, who have agreed to be the members of the Advisory Board. The Board meets 3 to 4 times a year and oversees the programs and performance.

    Dr. B.S. Patil did his M.A. in Economics (1994).  He has received his M.Phil. degree in Economics (in 1998) and got his Ph.D. in Economics (in 1992) from Karnatak University, Dharwad. He has also received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bharatidasan University in 2007.  Dr. B. S. Patil worked as Research Assistant at the Centre for Multi-Disciplinery Development Research (CMDR), Dhawaad and Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) Bangalore and worked on various research projects such as

    CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGES FOR ADMISSION &
    CRITERIA FOR GD / PERSONAL INTERVIEW

    Procedure for admission Process (PGDM 2008-10 batch)

    All applicants must have either a CAT or a XAT score and must have scored more than 50% in graduation (up to the last exam held).

    Our admission process comprises of a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview, after a candidate is shortlisted for GDPI.

    Short-listing of candidates for GDPI is done by taking aggregate of:

    Percentage marks in 10th
    Percentage marks in 12th
    Average Percentage marks in graduating years/semesters for which marks are available (up to the last examination held i.e. 2nd year in the case of a 3-year degree course and up to 3rd year/6th semester in case of a 4-year degree course.)

    All students having an aggregate above 50% are called for GDPI..

    Our last date of receiving applications for being eligible to avail scholarship is 31st Dec.

    Only those applicants, who have 60% or more marks in the first attempt, in each qualifying exam, are eligible to apply for scholarship and are called for scholarship GDPI rounds. The GDPI process commences from the middle of February, for the scholarship applicants.

    Those applications received after 31st Dec. are clubbed with the applications of applicants who were not eligible for the scholarship round. The subsequent GDPIs for short-listed candidates shall commence after the scholarship round GDPI.

    Group discussion (GD) scores are based on five attributes, viz. Communication Ability, GD Subject Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Leadership qualities, Group Behavior.

    Personal Interview (PI) scores are based on five attributes, viz. Personality, General Knowledge & Reading habits, Graduation Subject Knowledge, Career Objective and Other Activities (i.e. Relevant work experience, Extra curricular activities and other scholastic achievements).

    After GDPI, a composite score is calculated and seats are offered to those found suitable.
