ITM Kharghar set up the Wellness Centre on campus for Faculty and students. A small room to rejuvenate through prayer, peace, meditation and other wellness therapies. Where employees can experience this retreat created by our HR Academic Team. The Wellness Centre was inaugurated on 18th May 2019 (Saturday) by Mr. Ashish Joshi, an engineer and MBA by education, currently working at Nivea as Senior Sales and Marketing Head. Ashish finds running as his recharge mechanism that forms the third balancing leg of the life stool with super busy professional and personal lives being the other two.
The inauguration was followed by the first activity of Wellness center mandala workshop, conducted by our student, Medha Shree, HR Department (18-20 batch), for the faculty and Staff.
A mandala is a complex abstract design that is usually circular in form. In fact, “mandala” is a Sanskrit word that means “circle”. Mandalas generally have one identifiable center point, from which emanates an array of symbols, shapes and forms.
Drawing and coloring a mandala can be a highly enriching personal experience in which you look inside yourself and find the shapes, colors and patterns to represent anything from your current state of mind to your most deeply desired wish for yourself, for a loved one, or for humanity. In essence, mandalas represent the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Designing your own mandalas can be both inspirational and therapeutic.
The inauguration was a success and this initiative was highly appreciated.
