On 6th Feb 2021 Dr. Samir Phatak, Senior Manager, Mahindra & Mahindra held a session in ITM Business School for the Operations and Supply Chain department. The topic of the session was “Sustainable Supply Chain”.

We were highly obliged to have Dr. Samir Phatak talk and give us insights about the supply chain sustainability. It was an honour for us to have him with us and sharing with us, his findings, and opinions. I am glad to mention our deep sense of appreciation for his explanation of sustainability, in which he covered three key points which are the sustainability factors, green supply chain and supply chain sustainability. He further demonstrated the sustainable practices in M&M and as well explained how they coped up during the pandemic. The discussion contributed to increase our knowledge in the subject. He even covered the recent market and environmental scenario and the steps taken towards them. Moreover, his linkage to our theoretical knowledge to his practical knowledge was very beneficial.

EndNote:

It was great learning from Dr. Samir Phatak. We learned a lot from the session about how supply chain operations are carried out and the importance of green supply chain. We all thank Mr. Phatak for giving us such knowledge.
