International conference on business transformation in digital economy was held on February 15, 2020.
The objective of this conference was to provide a very intellectual takeaway to each stakeholder of a digital economy like government, society, corporate or academic Institutes. Practitioners from industry, academics and research institutes. exchanged their ideas which revolves around manufacturing, services, economic growth, climatic changes, international business, international
relation, foreign direct investment, foreign institutional investment, poverty reduction, banking, insurance, mutual funds, financial services, capital market, money market, risk management, fraud management, NPA reduction, recruitment, performance management and appraisal, manpower planning, expectation management, etc. with the concept of digital economy along with its challenges. Participants cited the real life problems and challenges in digital economy that an industry is facing. Solutions to various problems were discussed .
Foot fall
The footfall was more than 600 including the corporates, academicians and the inhouse students.

Research Workshop
One day workshop was held on 9th September 2019 “How to write Research Paper and Publish in good Journals”. There were 160 participants who participated in the workshop. The participants were from different specialization like Marketing, Finance, HR, international Business, etc.
Dr. Tushar Panigrahi explained the steps in writing a good research paper and Dr. Arpita Pandey explained the methods of developing the insights for the research and types and importance of correct referencing The workshop got very positive response from the participants.
Winter Carnival
Winter Carnival was organized to create the buzz and popularize the event on 18th and 19th of December 2019, which witnessed immense participation by students Faculties and outside vendors. Various game stalls were put up at the carnival for the entertainment of visitors. Stalls offering games like shoot the balloon, word cookies, push ups , try your luck, wheel of fortune and food stalls attracted the visitors.
Pre Conference Seminars
Between August 2019 and January 2020, four Pre Conference seminars were organized. Participant companies were HDFC bank, Motilal Oswal, Iron Gym, and Story Mirror.
Inauguration
On the inauguration day, the conference witnessed a series of exciting speeches by the stalwarts of the Industry and academia Mr. R. K. Jain, MD Sara-Chem (India) Pvt. Ltd. And Mr. Joydeep Sarkar, COO, Hi Care Services Pvt. Ltd. Spoke about how 2-3 days work is getting finished in few hours due to
digitization of business, And how companies and starts ups are using technology to protect the environment and for a sustainable business.
Campus Director Prof. Dr. Lakshmi Mohan addressed the audience on 3c’s which is C- Collaboration, C- Collectivism, C- Communication and how peoples’ behavior is changing due to disruption in technology.
Panel Discussion.
The exchange of knowledge continued with panel discussion. It took couple of weeks of extensive discussion and exchange of emails by the Conference team, to bring our panellist on one stage.

- There is a need of competent labour force who can take the challenge of transforming the business in Digital World.
- Reskilling of Human resource is the need of the hour.
- Business transformation in digital economy is a long-term process keeping short term goals in mind.
The session was very interestingly and ably moderated by Professor Dr. Jyotimoy Dasgupta HOD ( Fintech)
Tracks
After the panel discussion research papers were presented in 8 different tracks. Overall 62 research papers and case studies were selected, which include International Research Paper also. Out which 38 were presented in person by Academic, Corporate and Students researchers.
Inter College Immersion with Poddar Management and Technical Campus, Jaipur
As part of inter college Imersion 52 students and 4 faculties participated in the conference. 10 students presented the paper. And one paper won the Consolation prize.
Best Paper
To motivate the research papers authors, Chair persons of the tracks have selected 3 best paper and 6 consolation prizes. Prizes were handed over by cheques.
Over all the conference could fulfill its core objective of knowledge creation and dissemination in a contemporary theme i.e. Business Transformation in Digital Economy.
For overall success of the conference faculty, staff and student of ITM contributed immensely.
