Increasing the number of trained primary and supporting healthcare workers is an ideal step towards improving community health. Programs

Bachelors in Optometry

  • 3 years degree course + 1 year Clinical Internship
  • UGC Recognized degree
  • Eligibility – The candidate should have passed XII Science or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry,Maths and or Biology with an aggregate of minimum 40 % marks. For reservation category (SC/ST/OBC/minority) the aggregate of minimum 35% marks in Physics, Chemistry Maths and or Biology is required.

Bsc in Medical Laboratory Technology

  • 3 years (including 6 months internship) Degree course
  • UGC recognised Degree
  • Aggregate should be minimum 40%
  • Eligibility – The candidate should have passed XII Science or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology with an aggregate of minimum 40 % marks. For reservation category (SC/ST/OBC/minority) the aggregate of minimum 35% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology is required.

Medical check Up at VCT (Shantikunj Old Age Home) Harigram ​ITM ​IHS recently has got a special association with Vidyadhiraj Charitable Trust, Kelwe village which is close to the IHS, Panvel campus. In first of its kind of program a team comprising of student volunteers and staff representatives from IHS, Panvel visited Harigram on 20th March 2017. Majority of elderly residents had there routine health check up done which covered basic parameters as BP, random sugar, eyechek up etc. There were cases of cataract, cornea, glaucoma also diagnosed during the eye check up. With a good turn out and response the association has grown strong with a conclusion of having such visits on a regular basis at Harigram. ​This entire effort happend due to the efforts of Mr Shenoy & M r Hegde of VDT with whom Prof R S S Mani & Shri Kiran Rane had several meetings to make this happen . ​KUDOS TO TEAM ITM IHS Panvel
