About the Session:
Ms. Pooja Talasera an ITM Alumna addressed the Batch (2019-21) of Department of HR. She emphasized grooming and nourishing oneself. She spoke about ‘personal leadership and personal learning.’ She stressed upon the importance of challenging oneself constantly to reach the heights. “Be the CEO of your own” is the mantra she gave to the students. Through her own success journey she enlightened the students with regard to accepting the odd situations and building ones inner strength. Her experience as an HRBP and life coach helped her to give many fruitful tips to the students to excel in life. Few of her insights included being courageous in career, vulnerable to learning, never let your past define your present, don’t let the noise of outside become your voice, approach towards growth should be inside to outside and so on.
She discussed linkedin account handling and presentation to the students. She discussed the need of self-development, executive presence, communicating like a leader. An HR should be very interactive and approachable. An aspirant should ask and interact as much he can and in case there is no opportunity, he should create an opportunity. Further she gave the success mantra to deal with failures in life that every rejection leads to redirection. Overall the session was highly interactive and full of student involvement.
