The third session of the ‘Expert Talk’ series organized by the department of Marketing, ITM, Kharghar was very insightful and topical; its relevance was great for students to be industry ready.
The speaker for the lecture was Ms. Naila Mateen Patel, who is presently working as Executive Creative Director with a Digital advertisement/marketing firm called “MIRUM INDIA” formerly known as “Social wavelength”. She has an experience of over a decade in Digital media and marketing world and her she advertises in the area of Copy writing, Branding and Positioning.
In the session, Ms. Patel discussed the importance of “Storytelling” in marketing world and how it impacts people’s mind and helps the firm to position its product in a unique efficient manner. She described the vital role of social media in digital marketing and related examples of “GOOD CONTENT” which can make or break the brand. She also threw light on “Word of mouth” while giving a few examples of projects in which she and her team were involved.
She showed how consumers could become supporters when the content was right and right communication was used.
She enthusiastically interacted with students throughout the session and was very keen to answer all the queries put forward by the students. It was a highly lucrative and informative session for the students.
