Diploma in finance is becoming a highly sought-after course these days as it is a job oriented program that makes it easier for applicants to know and deal with the market in a much more efficient way. Students are thoroughly informed of different aspects of finance management such as the current nature of demand and supply, financial trends, minimization of production cost and maximization of profit, ethics, capital management, rules and regulations as applicable in case of state level, national level, and international level for import and export businesses etc. It also aids in sharpening the technical, analytical and managerial skills of the candidate.

What are the eligibility criteria for diploma in finance management?

  • Applicant must have passed his / her graduation with at least 50% marks in average from a certified college or university. The university should be recognized by the UGC or the University Grant Commission.
  • PG diploma in finance management requires that an applicant qualify for at least one state or national level entrance examination among the following:
  1.  Common Admission Test (CAT)
  2.  Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
  3.  Xavier’s Aptitude Test (XAT)
  4.  Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
  5.  Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)
  6.  Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)
  7.  AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA).
  8.  State level Common Entrance Test (CET).
  • Apart from that, different institutes also conducted their own entrance tests and you need to consult with the institute to get more information about their eligibility, course structure and fees. Candidates in their final year of graduation may also apply, on the condition that they will be able to produce their final semester / year result within the stipulated timeframe.

Duration of Course:

A standard diploma course in finance management takes 1 year for completion, but some places also offer 2 year diploma courses. If you have short time then you can also join some crash courses (6moths duration) in finance. But these are not the diploma courses and they will be treated as certificate courses only.
