The PGDM (Financial Management) is a full-time, two-year program with six trimesters. The first year is primarily focused on developing a strong foundation of conceptual and analytical skills necessary for advanced and specialized finance courses to be taken in the second year. Economics, Human Relations, Quantitative Techniques, Financial & Cost Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Information Technology are among the 21 courses students take in their first year.
Before the start of regular classes, the PGDM Student Connect program is offered to help incoming candidates cope with the rigors of the PGDM Program by providing courses that bridge the knowledge gap between the undergraduate degree (in various domains) and the PGDM Curriculum.
Students must choose six electives in addition to eleven mandatory courses in the second year. This allows students to gain in-depth knowledge in their area of specialization. Investment Management, Risk Management, Banking & Financial Services, and Strategic Accounting & Control are just a few of the electives available. Participants must also complete online certifications that earn them credit.
Following the third trimester examination, each student is required to complete an 8-10 week summer internship in a reputable company as part of the course curriculum. They must also participate in a project with the company. This project training gives students first-hand practical experience and allows them to apply the conceptual and analytical skills they've learned in the classroom to real-world management situations. Various projects undertaken by students are evaluated by the Institute, faculty, and an expert from the organization where these projects are carried out.
