AIMA administers the MAT, commonly known as the Management Aptitude Test, which is a national-level entrance exam. This exam is for students who are seeking admission to various management programs, such as MBA. More than 600 MAT exam colleges and universities use the MAT scorecard to determine admittance. Here you will find information on the MAT 2022 Syllabus. To gain a sense of the types of questions that will be asked, students should look over the MAT syllabus 2022. Knowing the MAT 2022 syllabus ahead of time can assist candidates in developing a clear approach for exam preparation. MAT is offered four times a year in three formats: computer-based (CBT), internet-based (IBT), and pen-and-paper (PBT). In the article below, you will find everything you need to know about the MAT syllabus for 2022.

MAT exam syllabus 2022

In general, the MAT exam assesses students' aptitude skills in a variety of areas. Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, and Indian and Global Environment are all included in the MAT syllabus. The following is the complete MAT syllabus for 2022:

The MAT Admit Card 2022 will be available on the 11th of May 2022 for the PBT and CBT exams, and on the 25th of May 2022 for the PBT-2 and CBT-2 exams. For both the computer-based and paper-based tests, separate admit cards will be generated. Candidates can obtain their admission cards over the internet. Only those who have successfully registered will be given a hall ticket.

The MAT exam features an equal number of MCQ questions in each segment. Despite the fact that the Indian and Global Environment portion is not included in the scoring, it has 40 questions. Check out the section-by-section weighting chart below.

Language Comprehension:

Reading Comprehension and English Vocabulary & Grammar will be the two portions of the Language Comprehension section. It covers themes such as Verbal Reasoning, Syllogisms, Using the same word with various meanings, Antonyms, Idioms, Contextual Usage, Analogies, Fill in the Blanks, Odd Man Out, Jumbled Paragraphs, Sentence Completion, Sentence Correction, and Foreign language words used in English.

Almost every MBA/PGDM admission exam has an English language component. This is because, in terms of presentation and many other elements, language comprehension is one of the most important qualifications for entering the corporate sector. Candidates must have a strong command of grammar and vocabulary.

Mathematical Skills:

Ratios and proportions, In equations quadratic & linear equations, Profit and Loss, Geometry, Percentages, Algebra, Averages, Time-Speed-Distance, Geometric Progression, Partnership (Accounts), Number System, Work and Time, HCF & LCM, and Vectors are some of the subjects covered in this section.

This is essentially a quantitative aptitude portion where you will be tested on your mathematical problem-solving skills and strong concepts up to class 12. Because you must answer the questions within a certain amount of time, you must be aware of shortcut tricks. You must first identify and solve the easy problems before moving on to the more challenging ones. If you don't know the answer, don't spend too much time on a single question. As a result, rather than solving on paper, ace on mental calculations.

Data Analysis and Sufficiency:

Data Interpretation questions are based on a variety of graphs, including Puzzles, Series, Table Charts, Data Sufficiency, Bar Graphs, Graphs, Line Charts, Column Graphs, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram, and others.

This component, which consists of 40 questions, assesses your analytical abilities. All sorts of graphs, such as line charts, bar graphs, pie graphs, mixed graphs, and tabular formats, must be understood. Candidates should keep in mind that this is a section that requires a lot of practice.

General Intelligence and Critical Reasoning:

This section contains questions on Critical Reasoning, Sequencing, Visual Reasoning, Coding and Decoding, Identifying Valid Interferences, Assumption-Premise-Conclusion, Statements & Assumptions, Matrix Arrangements, Assertion and Reasons, Identifying Reasons, Linear Arrangements, Family Tree, Effect & Cause, and other topics.

Indian and Global Environment:

Current Affairs, Quotes from Important People, Geography, History, Business, Major Corporate Events, Books and Authors, Science, Awards, Company Punch Lines, Top Officials of Big Companies, Sports, Entertainment, Politics, and other topics will be covered in this section.

In comparison to the other sections, this one takes extremely little time. As a result, candidates are encouraged to complete this portion last.
