Eligibility Criteria for MHT CET 

• Nationality of Candidates – Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Candidates' age limit has not been established by the government.
• Candidates must have passed the 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as obligatory courses from a recognized board/university. Candidates who are taking their 12th-grade exam are also eligible to take the exam.
• Minimum Marks Required - General category students must have received at least 50% in their 12th-grade exams, while SC/ ST/ OBC candidates must have received at least 45 percent.

MHT CET Direct Admission Eligibility Criteria

• If you are a child of an NRI, OCI, or PIO, or the child of an Indian worker in the Gulf, or a foreign national, you are excluded from taking the MHT CET.
• MHT CET is required for admission to B.E./B.Tech. for applicants from Maharashtra State Candidature or Minority Candidature.
• MHT CET may or may not be taken by All India Candidates because JEE Main results are preferred over MHT CET  scores for admission to B.E./B.Tech.
• Candidates from Maharashtra State Candidature, Minority Candidature, and All India Candidature seeking admission to B. Pharm. / Pharm. D. programs must take MHT CET.

Overview of Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra CET Entrance Test

This management entrance exam is open to candidates from Maharashtra as well as those from outside the state. • Applicants for the MHT CET are not limited by their age. Candidates must be Indian citizens and have completed their 12th-grade education at a recognized university or institution.
• Candidates who are Maharashtra residents should apply for one of the following sorts of positions:
• Type A applicants are those who were born in Maharashtra and/or have Maharashtra as their domicile.
• Type B - either of the parents is a Maharashtra resident.
• Type C – if one of the parents works for the government of India or a government undertaking and is posted in Maharashtra before the CAP application deadline.
• Type D - a student whose parents are either current or retired workers of the Maharashtra government or a Maharashtra undertaking.
• Type E candidates have passed the SSC and/or HSC examinations from a recognized university in a disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and speak Marathi as their mother tongue.
• Children of NRI, OCI, PIO, and Jammu and Kashmir migrant candidates, as well as children of IAS, IPS, and Army officers, are all eligible to take the exam.

MHT CET Exam Pattern for PCM

• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the subjects.
• English, Urdu, and Marathi are the examination mediums; however, mathematics can only be done in English.
• Number of Questions: There will be a total of 15 questions in this test. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics each received 50 points.
• Physics and Chemistry will receive one mark for each correct answer, while Mathematics will receive two marks for each question.

MHT CET Exam Pattern for PCB

• Examination languages: English, Urdu, and Marathi
• There will be a total of 200 questions, with 50 questions from each segment.
• Marking Scheme:  One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
• There will be no negative marking.
• Timeframe for PCB Group- The exam will last three hours in total. The first 90 minutes will be dedicated to Physics and Chemistry, with the remaining 90 minutes dedicated to Biology.

MHT CET Important Instructions

For Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, the difficulty level of Maharashtra Cet will be comparable to JEE Main, whereas, for Biology, it would be comparable to NEET.

Candidates should choose their examination media when filling out the MHT CET  Application Form because it cannot be changed afterward.

After completing the first 90 minutes of Physics and Chemistry, candidates will be allowed to move on to the Biology/Mathematics section.

The PCM and PCB groups are available to candidates. Individual percentages achieved in disciplines such as physics and chemistry, on the other hand, will not be convertible in this case.

Maharashtra CET Syllabus
