Bachelor of Optometry is a full-time four-year UG program that is divided into eight semesters. The curriculum of most colleges includes six theory-based semesters and the remaining two are training based followed by internships. The general eligibility criteria for a Bachelor Of Optometry are as follows:
- Has passed class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board of education
- The student must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the compulsory subjects in their 10+2 or equivalent exam
- Minimum marks required range between 50-55%
- While NEET is not required for the B Optometry course, many institutes conduct their own entrance exams
