ITM IHM Placements & Internship

At ITM-IHM, real time experiences form an integral part of our programs. Hence Summer/Winter internship, as well as concurrent training by way of Hotel Waitings and Out Door Catering form an important part of the Hotel Management curriculum and is mandatory. During the Six Months Industrial Training students are rotated in all the four core operational departments such as Food and Beverage Service, Food Production, Front Office and Housekeeping. This gives them a deep insight into the working of a hotel and eventually also helps them decide on their department of interest in which they specialize.

ITM-IHM is proud of its fantastic placements and Industry relations that have fostered over years. Some of the special programs conducted in order to help, train and prepare students for final placements and get them industry ready are as follows:

• Organize visits to facility services of hotels to expose the students to the actual workings of the facilities department.
• Guest lectures by professionals from the hotels on current practices being exercised in the industry and industry expectations with respect to future employees.
• Grooming & Personality sessions held in college by the Training and Placement Department as well as by the Training Managers from the hotels.
• IHM Training Department & Faculty personally counsels the students and conducts drills on enhancing Interview skills & communication. Special Training in Hotel Operations subjects is given by way of lectures and tests to prepare students for the technical rounds during the final placements.
