Beyond Academics at IFDT

At ITM IFDT students enjoy each year of their academics with a very vibrant campus life, which besides regular academics is full of extracurricular activities, thus networking them in a social atmosphere. Students experience exposure of all round development by moving beyond academics to total personality enhancement. We strongly believe in giving our students the opportunities to show case their talent at various forums and organized events.

The Ramp

‘Spark Plug’ the Annual Fashion Show by ITM-IFDT students, is an effort to build a bridge or runway for the students, a bridge between students of Fashion and the Fashion Industry. Each year the students show case their talent at this event. Students has made an effort to design clothes; to give designing an image beyond the world of fantasy. The garments and accessories here are definitely artistic to make everyone here wonder! Spark Plug has been put together by ITM-IFDT students. Their designs ooze enthusiasm and energy making them looks so beautiful. Spark Plug is a labor of love for Fashion and Style. The Annual fashion Show of ITM-IFDT, Spark Plug turns out to be a thrilling, exciting and fun event every year.

Glitters

Extracurricular activities are closely linked with curriculum. Here the students’ exhibit their talent in dance and drama and other performing arts. The ITM students get double exposure since they shall be part of the ITM Group of Business School and Hospitality School, they will be participating in the festivals organized by our business school / culinary school which will lead to holistic development.

Bizarre

Each year students will be exposed to the industry in form of field visits / seminars from the experts. They shall be organizing events which will sharpen their management skills and present their work. ITM students shall be taught by faculty from Nottingham Trent University very year to broaden their horizon and learn the skills from the specialist directly.

Teaching Methodology

ITM - Institute of Fashion, Design & Technology emphasis on professional development providing a competitive edge to students, it involves sharing of work with peers and faculty and developing generic skills also inthe process. Students undertake classroom assignments/field visits/presentations/group discussions/self discovery independently and ingroups. The interactive mode of teaching is supplemented by latest visual aids and it tools. The institute believes in practical exposure grounded with strong theoretical base.
